Take two sheets
for free.

Every new Plainpaper account begins on the free plan, and it is not a trial: no credit card, no clock, nothing that switches itself off. Two boards, all starter playbooks, your brand guidelines, and your agent connected over MCP.

Upgrade only when you outgrow it. Starter is €19 a month, excl. VAT.

Two boards, the full canvas

The free plan holds two active boards, and everything a board can do comes with them. Your agent writes the campaign onto the canvas as typed cards, and you steer what lands there.

  • Phases, typed cards, connections, and version history
  • Approval gates: nothing ships until you say yes
  • A revocable read-only share link per board
How boards work

All starter playbooks, ready to run

Every starter playbook by Plainpaper is one click on the free plan: product launch, welcome series, content calendar, quiz funnel, positioning sprint, competitor analysis, and more.

  • Phases, starter cards, and agent guidance already in place
  • Your agent follows the method; you watch the board fill
  • Or skip them all and start from a blank canvas

Guidelines: your voice, kept

A workspace guidelines library the agent must read before it writes a word: tone of voice, brand colors, logo files, do and don't rules. Set it once and the tenth card sounds like the first.

  • Five block kinds: text, file, link, color palette, voice
  • The "Prevent AI language" preset, so copy reads like you
  • Applied on every board that opts in
How guidelines work

Storage your agent can reach

Private, EU-hosted storage for the campaign itself: HTML emails, images, video, and files, referenced from cards and readable by your agent. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client.

  • Drafts and shippable assets side by side on the board
  • All agent tools work on the free plan, never gated
  • You approve on the board; the agent never ships alone

No expiry

Most "free" tiers in marketing software are seven days with a countdown pill. The Plainpaper free plan is the plan itself: it starts when you sign up and ends only if you decide to upgrade.

No expiry The free plan never lapses into a locked account. What is free today stays free.
No credit card Signup asks for an email, not a card. Billing only appears if you choose a paid plan.
Nothing deleted Boards are archived, never erased. Your work is plain markdown and typed links, not a locked blob.

Free plan questions.

  • Yes. The free plan is where every new Plainpaper account starts, not a trial that runs out. There is no credit card at signup, no expiry date, and no feature that switches itself off after a week. You upgrade when you want more boards or a team, and not before.

  • The free plan holds two active boards. To start a third, archive one first: nothing is ever deleted, and the archive stays visible. Opening or restoring an archived board is part of the paid plans, so treat the two active slots as your working desk and upgrade when the desk gets too small.

  • The same ones as on every paid plan: Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any client that speaks MCP. Chat surfaces sign in with OAuth; command-line and editor clients use a workspace agent token. Agent access is never gated on the free plan, and all MCP tools work on your active boards. The Claude and ChatGPT guides walk through it.

  • Teammates and extra workspaces, boards beyond the two active ones, the workspace tools palette, premium and community playbooks, the playbook builder, saving a board as a playbook, sharing playbooks, and restoring archived boards. Any paid plan unlocks all of it at once: the tiers differ only in caps, never in features.

  • The free plan is single-player: one workspace, and you are its only human member. You can still share any board with a revocable read-only link, so a client or colleague can watch a campaign assemble without an account. Inviting people into the workspace starts on the paid plans.

More questions? The plans and billing docs cover every boundary in detail.

A real campaign fits on two boards.

Sign up, connect your agent, and start from a playbook. If Plainpaper earns a place in your week, the paid plans are one click away. If not, the free plan is still yours.
